  • Dough or use store-bought:
  • 2 ½ cups – All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp – Salt
  • 1 tsp – Sugar
  • 2 ¼ tsp – Instant yeast
  • 1 cup – Warm water
  • 1 tbsp – Olive oil
  • Toppings:
  • 1 cup – Button mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup – Cremini mushrooms sliced
  • ½ cup – Shiitake or portobello mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tbsp – Olive oil for sautéing
  • 2 cloves – Garlic minced
  • 1 ½ cups – Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup – Pizza sauce or white garlic sauce
  • ¼ cup – Grated parmesan cheese optional
  • Salt and pepper – To taste
  • Fresh herbs – Basil oregano, or arugula for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough:
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Gradually add warm water and olive oil. Mix and knead until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  • Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and moisture evaporates (about 7 minutes).
  • Shape the Dough:
  • Roll the dough into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface. Place it on parchment paper or a floured pizza peel.
  • Assemble the Pizza:
  • Spread sauce evenly on the dough. Add mozzarella, sautéed mushrooms, and optional parmesan. Sprinkle herbs on top.
  • Bake:
  • Transfer to oven and bake for 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  • Garnish and Serve:
  • Remove from oven, drizzle with olive oil or truffle oil, add fresh herbs or arugula, slice, and enjoy!
